The Iranian "Prophet Joseph" (2008, 45 episodes) is considered the gold standard. For Prophet Musa, "Moses the Kalimullah" (2025) is Iran's most expensive production. "The Message" (1976) remains the most iconic film about early Islam.
Most productions on this list were reviewed by Islamic scholars. Iranian prophet series are based closely on Quranic narratives. Turkish historical dramas take more creative liberties but stay true to Islamic values. We recommend watching with family and discussing any differences from authentic sources.
