By using QuranMakkah.com (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
QuranMakkah.com is a free, open-access Quran learning platform. We provide audio recitations, transliterations, translations, and Islamic educational content. No account or registration is required to use the Service.
2. Content & Accuracy
We strive to provide accurate Islamic content based on the Quran and authentic Hadith. However:
- Our content is for general educational purposes only
- It is not a substitute for consulting a qualified Islamic scholar
- For specific rulings on personal matters (financial, family, medical), please consult a knowledgeable scholar
- We make every effort to verify Hadith authenticity and cite references accurately
3. User Responsibilities
When using QuranMakkah, you agree to:
- Use the Service respectfully and for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to disrupt, hack, or overload the Service
- Not scrape, copy, or redistribute content in bulk without permission
- Not misrepresent our content or attribute it incorrectly
4. Intellectual Property
- Quran text: The Holy Quran is the word of Allah and belongs to all of humanity. Quranic text is in the public domain.
- Audio recitations: Audio recordings belong to their respective reciters and are hosted with appropriate permissions.
- Site design & code: The website design, user interface, and code are the intellectual property of QuranMakkah.
- Educational content: Blog posts, guides, and Q&A answers are original content created by QuranMakkah.
5. Donations
QuranMakkah is a free platform sustained by voluntary donations. Donations are processed through Donorbox and are:
- Entirely voluntary — the Service is fully functional without donating
- Non-refundable, as they are used immediately for server costs and development
- Not tax-deductible (QuranMakkah is not a registered charity)
6. External Links & APIs
QuranMakkah may link to external websites and use third-party APIs (such as Quran.com for tafsir data). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of external sites. Accessing external links is at your own discretion.
7. Limitation of Liability
QuranMakkah is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the Service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee:
- Uninterrupted access to the Service
- Absolute accuracy of all content (though we strive for it)
- Compatibility with all devices or browsers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuranMakkah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
