2. Local Storage (Your Browser)
We use your browser's localStorage to save your preferences locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.

- •We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (e.g., which surahs are most popular, which pages are visited).
- •Google Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated data such as page views, approximate location (country level), device type, and browser type.
- •We do not use this data to identify individual users.
- •You can opt out of Google Analytics by using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.
4. Donations & Payments
- •If you choose to donate, payments are processed by Donorbox. We do not store or have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, bank info, etc.).

5. External Services
The site connects to external services to deliver content:
- •audio.quranmakkah.com — serves audio recitation files (hosted on Cloudflare R2)
- •Quran.com API — provides tafsir (verse explanations)
- •AlQuran.cloud API — Quran data fallback
These services may log standard web request data (IP address, user agent). We do not control their data practices.
6. Cookies
- •QuranMakkah itself does not set any cookies.
- •Google Analytics and Cloudflare may set cookies for their own functionality. These are standard industry practices for analytics and security.
7. Children's Privacy
QuranMakkah is safe for users of all ages. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents and guardians can confidently allow their children to use the site.
8. Your Rights
- •Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request, delete, or export.
- •You can clear all locally stored preferences by clearing your browser data.
- •You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time.
