Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Benefit: Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi in the morning will be protected until evening, and whoever recites it in the evening will be protected until morning.

About Adhkar (Remembrances)

Adhkar (Arabic: أذكار, singular: dhikr) are the remembrances, supplications, and praises of Allah that Muslims recite throughout their day. The word “dhikr” literally means “remembrance” and refers to any act of remembering Allah through words, thoughts, or actions.

Allah says in the Quran: “Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Ar-Ra'd 13:28). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made adhkar an essential part of his daily routine — from the moment he woke up until he went to sleep.

The morning adhkar (Adhkar as-Sabah) are recited after Fajr until sunrise. The evening adhkar (Adhkar al-Masa') are recited after Asr until Maghrib. These serve as spiritual protection, shields from evil, and a means of drawing closer to Allah.

Many of these adhkar come from the famous collection Hisn al-Muslim (Fortress of the Muslim) compiled by Sa'id ibn Ali ibn Wahf al-Qahtani, which is one of the most widely used books of supplications in the Muslim world.
