💡 Tips for Learning Arabic Phrases

1

Start with 3 phrases — the greeting (Assalamu Alaikum), thank you (JazakAllahu Khairan), and Bismillah. Use them daily until they feel natural.

2

Say phrases OUT LOUD. Arabic is a spoken language — reading silently won't build muscle memory. Practice pronunciation by repeating after reciters.

3

Learn the REPLY for every phrase. In Muslim culture, every phrase has a proper response. Knowing both sides of the exchange is key.

4

Use context to remember. Associate each phrase with a specific moment in your day: Bismillah before eating, Alhamdulillah after, InshaAllah for future plans.

5

Don't worry about perfect Arabic pronunciation yet. Using transliteration and making an effort is what matters. Your brothers and sisters will appreciate it.

6

Teach someone else! The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who learn and teach." Teaching a phrase to a friend is the fastest way to memorize it.
