Chapter 87 · The Most High · Juz 30
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
Quran 87:18 — Surah Al-Ala
This is verse 18 of 19 in Surah Al-Ala (الأعلى), meaning “The Most High”. It is a Meccan surah — revealed in Makkah before the Hijrah. This verse is located in Juz 30 (Part 30) of the Quran.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
But you prefer the worldly life,
وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
