Chapter 37 · Those Who Set The Ranks · Juz 23
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
Alaaa innahum min ifkihim la yaqooloon
Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
Quran 37:151 — Surah As-Saffat
This is verse 151 of 182 in Surah As-Saffat (الصافات), meaning “Those Who Set The Ranks”. It is a Meccan surah — revealed in Makkah before the Hijrah. This verse is located in Juz 23 (Part 23) of the Quran.

Alaaa innahum min ifkihim la yaqooloon
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ
Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ
Has He chosen daughters over sons?
