Speak Gently, Always
17:53وَقُل لِّعِبَادِي يَقُولُوا الَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلْإِنسَانِ عَدُوًّا مُّبِينًا
Wa qul li-'ibadi yaqulul-lati hiya ahsan. Innash-Shaytana yanzaghu baynahum. Innash-Shaytana kana lil-insani 'aduwwam-mubina.
“Tell My servants to say what is best. Indeed, Satan induces dissension among them. Indeed, Satan is ever to mankind a clear enemy.”
Daily action: Choose one difficult conversation today and make it gentle. Before responding in frustration, pause and pick the kindest words you can.

Don't Mock Others
49:11يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونُوا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَاءٌ مِّن نِّسَاءٍ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُنَّ
Ya ayyuhal-ladhina amanu la yaskhar qawmun min qawmin 'asa an yakunu khayran minhum wa la nisa'un min nisa'in 'asa an yakunna khayran minhunna.
“O you who believe, let not a people ridicule another people; perhaps they may be better than them. Nor let women ridicule other women; perhaps they may be better than them.”
Daily action: Catch yourself before making fun of anyone today — even in jest. Replace mockery with a genuine compliment.
No Spying, No Backbiting
49:12يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ ۖ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا
Ya ayyuhal-ladhina amanu-jtanibu kathiran minaz-zanni inna ba'daz-zanni ithm. Wa la tajassasu wa la yaghtab ba'dukum ba'da.
“O you who believe, avoid much suspicion; indeed, some suspicion is sin. And do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another.”
Daily action: When someone's name comes up in conversation today and you're tempted to say something negative, stay silent or say something good instead.
We Made You Nations to Know Each Other
49:13يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ
Ya ayyuhan-nasu inna khalaqnakum min dhakarin wa untha wa ja'alnakum shu'uban wa qaba'ila li-ta'arafu. Inna akramakum 'indallahi atqakum.
“O mankind, indeed We created you from male and female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.”
Daily action: Start a conversation with someone from a different background today. Learn something about their culture or perspective.
Be Kind to Those Who Are Kind
60:8لَّا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَارِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمْ وَتُقْسِطُوا إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ
La yanhakumullahu 'anil-ladhina lam yuqatilukum fid-deeni wa lam yukhrijukum min diyarikum an tabarruhum wa tuqsitu ilayhim. Innallaha yuhibbul-muqsiteen.
“Allah does not forbid you from dealing kindly and justly with those who do not fight you because of your religion and do not expel you from your homes. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.”
Daily action: Show kindness to someone of a different faith or background today. A smile, a greeting, a helping hand knows no boundaries.
No Compulsion in Religion
2:256لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ ۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ
La ikraha fid-deen. Qad tabayyanar-rushdu minal-ghayy.
“There is no compulsion in religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong.”
Daily action: Respect someone's choice today, even if you disagree. Share truth with wisdom, not force.
