When feeling abandoned or let down by people

Quranic Duas vs. Sunnah Duas

Quranic duas are supplications that appear directly in the text of the Quran. They were spoken by prophets, angels, or righteous believers and preserved by Allah in His Book. Reciting them combines the reward of both dua (supplication) and Quran recitation.

Sunnah duas are those taught by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through his sayings and actions (hadith). They cover specific situations like waking up, eating, traveling, and entering the mosque.

Both types are powerful and beloved to Allah. The scholars recommend memorizing Quranic duas because they are the words Allah Himself chose — making them the most perfect and eloquent supplications possible. Many of the “Rabbana” duas (beginning with “Our Lord”) are especially popular and recited in prayers worldwide.
