Chapter 75 · The Resurrection · Juz 29
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌۭ
Balil insaanu 'alaa nafsihee baseerah
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,
Quran 75:14 — Surah Al-Qiyamah
This is verse 14 of 40 in Surah Al-Qiyamah (القيامة), meaning “The Resurrection”. It is a Meccan surah — revealed in Makkah before the Hijrah. This verse is located in Juz 29 (Part 29) of the Quran.

Balil insaanu 'alaa nafsihee baseerah
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.
يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌۭ
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
Even if he presents his excuses.
لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ
Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.
