Chapter 56 · The Inevitable · Juz 27
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Qul innal awwaleena wal aakhireen
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples
Quran 56:49 — Surah Al-Waqiah
This is verse 49 of 96 in Surah Al-Waqiah (الواقعة), meaning “The Inevitable”. It is a Meccan surah — revealed in Makkah before the Hijrah. This verse is located in Juz 27 (Part 27) of the Quran.

Qul innal awwaleena wal aakhireen
وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
And our forefathers [as well]?"
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples
لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ
Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ
Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,
