Chapter 75 · The Resurrection · Juz 29
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ
Wa jumi'ash shamusu wal qamar
And the sun and the moon are joined,
Quran 75:9 — Surah Al-Qiyamah
This is verse 9 of 40 in Surah Al-Qiyamah (القيامة), meaning “The Resurrection”. It is a Meccan surah — revealed in Makkah before the Hijrah. This verse is located in Juz 29 (Part 29) of the Quran.

Wa jumi'ash shamusu wal qamar
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ
So when vision is dazzled
وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ
And the moon darkens
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ
And the sun and the moon are joined,
يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
No! There is no refuge.
